Titus Maccius Plautus, známy ako Plautus, bol rímsky dramatik starolatinského obdobia. Jeho komédie predstavujú najstaršie latinské literárne diela, ktoré sa zachovali v úplnosti. Plautus písal Palliata comoedia, žáner vytvorený Liviusom Andronicom. Dodnes sa stretávame s termínom „plautovský“, ktorý sa vzťahuje na Plautove diela ako aj na diela jím ovplyvnené.
