Tři skutečné příběhy líčí osudy několika horolezců při výpravách do hor a jejich boj o přežití. V prvním příběhu se setkáváme s horolezeckou výpravou vedenou Colbym Coombsem a jejich výstupem na horu Mount Foraker na Aljašce.
