V predkladanej monografii predstavujeme prvý slovenský preklad diela Vita Martini od Sulpicia Severa pod názvom Život sv. Martina z Tours (už skôr publikovaný v elektronickej forme). Záujemcom o ranokresťanskú latinskú literatúru ponúkame bilingválny text, to znamená slovenský a latinský na stranách oproti sebe. Čitateľ tak môže sledovať latinskú štruktúru, ako aj preklad do slovenčiny. V poznámkach pod čiarou nájde priliehavé vysvetlenia. Samotný preklad predchádza monografická štúdia. Vydávame ich spolu v edícii Starokresťanská knižnica.
