De verslaafde zigeuner Babel Samana heeft geld nodig en probeert zijn informatie over de verdwenen kwatrijnen van Nostradamus te verkopen aan de jonge schrijver Adam Sabir of aan Achor Bale die lid is van een obscuur geheim genootschap.
