Für die Erstaufführung an der Mailänder Scala änderte der Komponist die Fassung u. a. durch eine erweiterte Ouvertüre und einen versöhnlicheren Schluss. Die Ausgabe folgt dem Mailänder Libretto, der Anhang gibt zudem das Finale der ersten Fassung wieder.
