Jacques Doukhan Knihy

Přestože je počet židů menší než jedno procento světové populace, v médiích i na mezinárodní scéně se o nich často hovoří. Adventistický teolog Jacques B. Doukhan, od něhož byl v minulosti vydán již výklad knihy Daniel a Zjevení, v této knize odkrývá tajemství Izraele. Popisuje názory, které tvrdí, že Izrael selhal, zavrhl Ježíše Krista – Mesiáše a že církev převzala jeho úlohu. Zabývá se ale i teoriemi, jež Izraeli připisují význačné místo na konci dějin. V druhé části knihy pak hledá Doukhan v biblických textech a výrocích Ellen Whiteové základy, na nichž můžeme jako adventisté stavět náš pohled a vztah k Izraeli.

Kniha Kazatel není snadné čtení. Její myšlenky jsou obtížné a ne vždy na první pohled srozumitelné. Poselství Kazatele nebude vyjeveno povrchnímu čtenáři. Odměnou pro toho, kdo vezme všechna jeho slova vážně (i ta, jež si protiřečí a jsou nepříjemná), je možnost zahlédnout za vší marností jinou tvář Hospodina a jinou tvář sebe sama. Tak se můžeme znovu učit víře, naději a schopnosti žít.
