Dan Perjovschi vytvára rozsiahle kresby priamo vo výstavných priestoroch, ktoré často vznikajú pred zrakmi návštevníkov. Jeho umelecká tvorba ponúka prenikavý politický komentár reagujúci na aktuálne dianie a spoločenské otázky. Perjovschiho práce, často štylizované do podoby komiksov, sa zaoberajú tak lokálnymi, ako aj širšími európskymi témami. Jeho umenie tak slúži ako vizuálna reflexia súčasných výziev a debát.

Das Ende des repressiven Regimes bot Anlass für einen engagierten Aktivismus. Dan Perjovschi ist Mitglied bei der 'Group of Social Dialogue', eine Gruppe rumänischer Intellektueller, die sich für einen kritischen Dialog einsetzen und seit 1991 die Wochenzeitung 'Revista 22' herausgeben, für die der Künstler bis heute regelmäßig als Zeichner und Kolumnist tätig ist. Die Zeitung galt Anfang der 1990er Jahre in Rumänien als die intellektuell prestigereichste Zeitschrift. Als Inspiration dienen Perjovschi aktuelle Nachrichten, Gerüchte, Sightseeing, Witze, Fernsehartikel etc. Bislang wurden Perjovschis Arbeiten für die 'Revista 22' nicht publiziert. Der geplante Katalog gibt einen Überblick über Highlights aus den letzten 20 Jahren – ein Stück Zeitgeschichte, kommentiert mit hintergründiger Ironie!

Everything has a place in Perjovschi’s universe. But nothing is constant. Just as our thoughts remain alive and virulent through movement, his drawings only form for a moment. Then they are painted over, rubbed out and fade. In 2016 Dan Perjovschi received the first Rosa Schapire art prize from Freunde der Hamburger Kunsthalle. This publication is based on the artist’s sketchbook, augmented by installation photos of his accompanying exhibition at the Hamburger Kunsthalle.
