    Howard Chandler Robbins Landon bol americký hudobný vedec, novinár, historik a rozhlasový pracovník. Najviac je známy svojou prácou pri znovuotvorení rozsiahleho zabudnutého hudobného diela Josepha Haydna a pri objasňovaní nepochopení týkajúcich sa Wolfganga Amadea Mozarta. Jeho výskum sa sústredil na detailnú hudobnú analýzu a historický kontext, čím významne prispel k rehabilitácii týchto skladateľov v povedomí hudobnej verejnosti.
