This book, written by Duncan Haws and published in 1987 by TCL Publications, is part of the Merchant Fleets books of maritime reference. It is the eleventh volume in this popular series and covers the 526 ships of the British India Steam Navigation Company and the British India Associated Steamers. It is illustrated with 230 scale profile drawings by the author covering 496 ships of the fleet. This will make an invaluable addition to the library of the maritime enthusiast!
In response to continued demand the 1979 work on Cunard has been completely re-written and expanded to make it into one single volume in its own right with every drawing re-done using a larger scale to give greater detail. The company history is followed by the 215 vessels of the fleet to date covered by 122 scale line drawings depicting all but four of the ships owned together with technical details and the career history of every ship.
