Hoci mal román Tehanu podtitul Posledná kniha Zememorí, jeho autorka Ursula Le Guinová si po desiatich rokoch od jeho vydania uvedomila, že potrebuje o svojich hrdinoch a ich osudoch vedieť viac. Rozhodla sa teda vrátiť do Zememorí a zistila, že sa veľa zmenilo. Päť príbehov tejto knihy skúma a rozvíja svet daný knihami, ktoré o Zememoriach už boli napísané.

Záverečná časť kroník Západného pobrežia. V knihe Sily sa príbeh zo Západného pobrežia uzavrie. Hlavnú úlohu zohrá Gavir, chlapec-otrok, ktorý má schopnosť vidieť do budúcnosti. Napriek tomu, že s ním jeho „majiteľ“ zaobchádza slušne, Gavirovi sa podarí ujsť, pretože sloboda má väčšiu cenu, než čokoľvek na svete.

Posledný diel trilógie o Zememorí. Do Rokesskej školy prichádza mladík Arren, syn princa z ostrova Enlad, aby vyhľadal Geda, arcimága na Roke, drakopána, toho, ktorý premohol tieň a získal prsteň Erreth-Akbeho, a odovzdáva mu chmúrnu správu od otca, že čarodeji na Enlade stratili svoju moc. Zabudli nielen vyššiu mágiu, ale aj tie najjednoduchšie zaklínadlá, schopnosť liečiť, priniesť bohatú úrodu. Gedovi sa však už doniesli podobné správy aj z iných častí Zememorí. Znepokojený zvolá deviatich majstrov – Vetrokľúča, Menovača, Bylinkára, Chorála, Premenára, Dverníka, Povolávača, Skladača a Ruku, aby sa spolu poradili v Imanentnom háji.

Čarodej Ged, ktorý bol na začiatku príbehu malým pastierom, a mladá kňažka Tenar sa po mnohých rokoch opäť stretávajú, aby spoločne bojovali proti zlu, ktoré sa ani tým najmocnejším mágom nepodarilo zlikvidovať. Na začiatku sveta žili na prvých ostrovoch, ktoré sa vynorili z peny, iba draky. Čas plynul a všetko sa menilo. Draky sa rozdelili na dva tábory, divé draky ostali na západných ostrovoch a tie, ktoré nevedeli lietať, odplávali na východ. A dodnes medzi nami žijú ľudia, ktorí si dračiu minulosť pamätajú...

Ponorte sa do magického príbehu kultovej fantasy! Čarodej Zememorí Ged je najväčším čarodejom celej krajiny, no kedysi to bol nedočkavý, namyslený mladík, túžiaci po moci a poznaní. Zo svojho rodného ostrova Gont odišiel do čarodejníckej školy na Roke, kde z pýchy vypustil na svet tieň, čo spôsobil smrť arcimága. Ged bude musieť podstúpiť skúšku, zvládnuť slová moci, skrotiť silného draka, vstúpiť na prah smrti, aby znovu nastolil rovnováhu, ktorú vo svojej nevedomosti porušil.

Mesto Ansul bolo mestom slobodných ľudí, sídlila v ňom univerzita i vychýrená knižnica. Nájazd Aldov, národa púšte v Asudare, sa prehnal ponad kopce Ansulu ako skazonosná smršť. Ich armáda vtrhla do ulíc, vraždila a lúpila. Dekalo Galvovú, správkyňu Veľradcu Ansulu, aldskí vojaci znásilnili, keď plienili a pálili, čo im prišlo pod ruky. Veľradcu po rokoch väzenia a mučenia nahého vyhodili na ulicu. Veľradca sa vrátil domov, do Domu veštby, do Galvamandu. Hoci bol dokaličený, nestrácal zmysel života. Po smrti Dekalo sa staral o jej dcéru Memer, ktorej v žilách koluje aj aldská krv. Memer bola dcérou Galvamandu, dcérou jeho srdca. Aldovia milovali vojnu, knihy nečítali, podľa nich sa písmenami prihovárali démoni. Všetky knižnice v meste, všetky vedomosti nahromadené vekmi zničili, okrem tých, ktoré Veľradca ukrýval v tajnej skrýši. Ale časy sa zmenili. Do mesta prišli Gry Barreová z Roddmantu a Orrek Kaspro z Kaspromantu. Orrek je básnik, najznámejší zo všetkých, ktorý má dar rozprávať príbehy. Jeho žena Gry má zasa dar privolávania. Hlasy sú príbehom Memer. Gry a Orreka, sú príbehom poníženého národa túžiaceho po slobode.

Vo Vergíliovej Eneide bojuje hrdina o ruku kráľovskej dcéry Lavinie, s ktorou je predurčený založiť kráľovstvo. Lavinia v jeho básni nikdy neprehovorí. Ursula K. Le Guin ju v románe obdarí hlasom, čo nás vovedie do polodivého sveta starovekého Talianska, keď bol Rím ešte bahnitá dedina poblíž Siedmich pahorkov. Lavinia vyrastá v mieri a pokoji až dovtedy, kým neprídu pytači. Jej matka si želá, aby sa vydala za driečneho a ambiciózneho Turna. Orrekov aj Gryin rod majú dary - schopnosti, ktoré sa vymykajú bežným ľudským schopnostiam. Takýto dar majú iba niektorí členovia rodu - a tí sa stávajú jeho ochrancom. Dary totiž slúžia na obranu pred útokmi ostatných rodov. Orrek aj Gry sa však postupne dostanú na okraj svojich rodov a svoje dary, ktoré sa stanú nástrojom skazy. Na rozdiel od cyklu o Zememoriach je román Dary určený pre vekovo starších čiateľov.
