Sbírka hororových a fantastických povídek známého amerického autora. Autor románu Psycho, proslaveného Hitchcockovým filmem, se tu představuje jako rutinní tvůrce fantastických, hororových a sci-fi povídek s širokým spektrem námětů. Doktor Adam Claiborne má dojem, že Norman Bates je na nejlepší cestě k uzdravení. Až do chvíle, kdy Norman zabije mladou sestřičku a uprchne z psychiatrické léčebny v jejích šatech.
