Two girls, two stories, one epic novel. From the bestselling author of Before I Fall and the Delirium trilogy comes a groundbreaking narrative exploring individuality, identity, and humanity. This "flip book" features two interwoven narratives, the first in a duology. Readers can choose to follow Lyra's story or Gemma's by flipping the book, or read them in alternating chapters. The innovative design enhances the reading experience. Lyra's journey begins at the Haven Institute, a seemingly serene research facility on a private island off Florida's coast. However, the reality is starkly different, with locked doors, military guards, and biohazard suits revealing a dark truth: Haven is where thousands of replicas, or human models, are created and monitored. When a surprise attack occurs, Lyra, known as 24, and a boy referred to as 72 manage to escape. On the other hand, Gemma has spent her life in and out of hospitals, feeling isolated with only her best friend, April, for company. After a near-abduction by a stranger who claims to know her, she delves into her family's past and uncovers her father's hidden ties to the enigmatic Haven facility. Driven by a quest for answers, she travels to Florida, where she encounters the two replicas and a web of new questions. The intertwining stories of Lyra and Gemma reveal breathtaking revelations that are crucial to understanding each other. This ambitious novel is a thought-provoking
