Having fought fires since she turned eighteen, returning to Montana for the season feels like home, despite the haunting memories of her lost partner from the previous year. This season, however, brings a promising rookie class, including Gulliver Curry, a talented firefighter with an intriguing mix of intellect and charm. He admires Rowan's legendary father and is drawn to her, despite her rule against dating fellow smoke jumpers.
