Calladia Cunnington curses the day she met Astaroth the demon, yet when he appears memoryless, she finds him unexpectedly helpless and somewhat attractive. As the heir to a founding witch family in small-town Glimmer Falls, Calladia is rough around the edges. Her gym obsession helps channel her anxieties and anger, but her hot temper often leads to bar brawls. After saving someone from a demon attack, she discovers the man is Astaroth, the ruthless demon responsible for a soul bargain involving her best friend. Astaroth, a legendary soul bargainer and member of the demon high council, suffers from amnesia after being banished to the mortal realm. He has no idea why a demon named Moloch is pursuing him or why the fierce witch who saved him despises him. Despite her feelings, Calladia reluctantly decides to help the vulnerable demon, reasoning that punching an amnesiac would be in poor taste. Together, they embark on a road trip to find a witch who can restore Astaroth's memory and help them confront Moloch. As Calladia vows to kick Astaroth's ass once he's cured, she finds herself drawn to his new, charming persona. The more time they spend together, the more she realizes she might not want him to regain his memories after all.
