Exploring the intersection of race, politics, and health, this study delves into the historical and contemporary issues surrounding Black infant and maternal mortality. Through a blend of biopolitical theory and historical analysis, it examines the narratives of Black mothers and infants from the 19th century to today, highlighting the influence of prominent Black thinkers. The epilogue addresses birth justice, contributing significantly to feminist theory. This work stands out for its unique perspective on the systemic factors perpetuating health disparities within the Black community.
