Viac o knihe
The book explores how colonial rule has shaped the uneven state formation and governance in South Asia, particularly in India and Pakistan. It posits that these nations function as "patchwork states," reflecting disparities in state capacity and society relations. The historical context influences contemporary political violence, electoral dynamics, and development patterns. By connecting historical legacies to current issues, it offers insights into the roots of conflict and governance challenges in the region, enhancing our understanding of South Asian politics and its colonial past.
