Viac o knihe
Set against the backdrop of Nazi-occupied France, this true story follows Edith Schwalb, a young Jewish girl who finds refuge in a safe house. The narrative highlights not only her courage but also the extraordinary efforts of a supportive village, including its mayor, who worked together to protect numerous Jewish children. These children experienced a semblance of normalcy, attending school and enjoying meals without fear of revealing their identities, while cleverly evading detection during Nazi raids.
