Viac o knihe
The narrative explores the tragic exodus of Iraqi academics following the 2003 US invasion, highlighting the dire consequences of violence and intimidation that forced many into exile. By examining the lives of 63 scholars, it presents a 'genealogy of loss' that reflects the broader dismantling of Iraqi institutions and culture. Through fieldwork conducted in the UK, Jordan, and Iraqi Kurdistan, the author reveals the human impact of the conflict and encourages readers to envision a more hopeful future for Iraq.
