The translation was carried out by Lopön in the course of teaching the text to Western students at his monastery in the Kathmandu Valley.Includes a facsimile copy of the Tibetan root pecha text, "The Teaching of the Progressive Great Perfection Called the Heart Drops of Dharmakaya" ('Od gsal rdzogs-pa chen po'i lam-gyi rim-pa khrid-yig kun-tu bzang-po'i snying-tig shes-bya-ba bzhugs).
