Focusing on the cultivation of culture, democracy, and ethics, this work explores adult education within a university context. It integrates diverse theories, including Aristotelian and post-structuralist ideas, alongside Fernando Pessoa's concepts of 'erudition' and 'disquiet.' Liana Psarologaki critiques the challenges faced in higher education under advanced capitalism and proposes a manifesto for a transformative pedagogy, aiming to reshape the educational landscape to better address contemporary societal pathologies.
