The collection of Arabic documents from the 11th and 12th centuries offers valuable insights into the interactions between Egypt and Nubia during the High Middle Ages, particularly in the Fatimid period. Accompanied by English translations and thorough analyses, these documents challenge previous historical narratives that relied heavily on later historiographical sources, which may have been biased. This work enhances our understanding of the era by providing primary evidence from the time, thus enriching the historical context of Egyptian-Nubian relations.
