Viac o knihe
Set against the backdrop of World War II and the subsequent decades, the book explores the dire state of dental health in Britain, where poor oral hygiene and limited dental visits were the norm. Many people anticipated needing full dentures by age 60, with treatment often restricted to extractions. Through firsthand accounts from dental professionals documented in the British Dental Association John McLean Archive, the narrative reveals the transformative changes in dental care practices from the 2000s to the present.
