Through an extensive analysis of a 15 million-word corpus from nine UK national newspapers over 15 years, the author utilizes corpus linguistics and critical discourse analysis to uncover how language shapes perceptions of schizophrenia. By identifying prevalent linguistic features, the study reveals the ways media discourse influences public attitudes and reflects societal views on this mental health condition, providing valuable insights into the intersection of language, media, and mental health awareness.
