Viac o knihe
The book delves into the ideological battles between Antifederalists and their opponents during the Confederation period, highlighting a clash between libertarian ideals of small farmers and the interests of urban and mercantile elites. It provides a detailed state-by-state analysis of the ratifying conventions, examining local influences, delegate alignments, and the dynamics that led some to shift their positions. This exploration sheds light on the debates over Congressional power and the formation of the Constitution, revealing the complexities of early American political thought.
