Tales from the Iliad

Viac o knihe

The central theme of the epic revolves around the Wrath of Achilles, a force that drives the narrative with blind fury and defies reason and law. This focus helps to clarify the seemingly unusual absence of Achilles for much of the story, emphasizing that his character fundamentally shapes the poem's structure. In contrast to Odysseus in The Odyssey, Achilles remains a pivotal figure, underscoring the importance of character in the unfolding of the epic's events.
