It examines how these autobiographies blend various discourses, aiming for documentary authenticity while celebrating the self. Professor Molloy analyzes a diverse array of texts, including works by Sarmiento and Ocampo, to uncover their textual strategies, connections to the European canon, and the complexities of memory. This approach highlights the evolving perceptions of self and the dynamics between individual identity and community.
