Co se kresby týče, tady si na své přijde určitě každý, neboť se nám tu pravidelně střídá hned několik různých stylů kresby, které se mění v závislosti na situaci. Když Mikey vzpomíná, kresba se vrátí ke kořenům samotných Želvích komiksů - je černobílá a ponurá, zatímco během aktuálního dění, střídajícího se s flashbacky, které po kouskách odhalují zákulisí událostí, jež vedly k tomuto momentu, nás drží v ostré akční a pestrobarevné kresbě. Navíc velký formát, který Comics Centrum knize dopřálo, příběhu velmi svědčí a je to doslova pastva pro oči. Samotný příběh je neskutečně intenzivní, plný zvratů a hořkého vzpomínání na situace, ze kterých jedno oko opravdového Želvího fanouška rozhodně nezůstane suché. I když se zpočátku může zdát, že Mikey nakonec přece jenom všechno přežije, bohužel hořký konec příběhu vás srazí na kolena, jako pořádná rána Donnieho holí Bo. Ale epilog nám ukáže, že možná není všem dnům konec... Ale pro tentokrát jsem brečel jako Želva kamarádi.
