After Winslow Hall's relocation to San Francisco post-Gold Rush, the brothers established a prominent shipyard in Port Ludlow, later moving to Port Blakely. Over three decades, they launched 108 vessels, including the first Hall ship from the West Coast and the five-masted schooner George E. Billings, serving merchants across the Northwest, San Francisco, and Hawaii.
