Nineteenth Century Collections European Literature, 1790-1840: The Corvey Collection features over 9,500 full-text titles in English, French, and German. Sourced from Victor Amadeus's remarkable Castle Corvey library, discovered in the late 1970s, it represents one of the most significant collections of Romantic era writing. The collection includes fiction, short prose, dramatic works, poetry, and more, emphasizing hard-to-find pieces by lesser-known, historically overlooked authors. Built in the late 19th century by bibliophiles Victor and Elise, the library encompasses a diverse array of works, from novels and short stories to belles lettres and popular literature, including many rare titles unavailable elsewhere. These previously unknown works are especially valuable to scholars and researchers. The collection comprises novels, Gothic novels, short stories, belles-lettres, short prose forms, dramatic works, poetry, anthologies, and more.
