Viac o knihe
Being a Nintendo fan in the early 90s was challenging, especially with the Super Famicom's release in Europe as the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, which suffered from a bordered, 50Hz image and delays. True enthusiasts sought out Japanese consoles and purchased games through the grey import market, enjoying faster, smoother gameplay and the allure of beautifully designed portrait-shaped boxes, far superior to the landscape packaging in the West. Bitmap Books celebrates this unique artwork with a stunning hardback collection showcasing Japanese game packaging. Featuring around 250 titles, including rare and previously undocumented examples, the book draws from the archives of renowned collector Stuart Brett (Super Famicom Guy). Each box is presented life-size, accompanied by critiques of the artwork and interviews with fellow collectors sharing their passion for this format. The collection is bound in charcoal grey wibalin with a gold foil block logo, printed to the highest standards. With a foreword by veteran games journalist Steve Jarratt, this book is an essential treasure for anyone who cherished Nintendo's 16-bit console and the distinctive Japanese artwork that adorned these iconic games.
