    • Das Museum of Modern Art in New York besitzt eine der weltweit größten Sammlungen zur Photographie des 20. Jahrhunderts. Um diese reichen Bestände der Öffentlichkeit zugänglich zu machen, sind drei Bände geplant. Band III, in dem die Jahre 1960 bis heute behandelt werden, erscheint als erster – das MoMA zäumt seine Geschichte der Photographie des 20. Jahrhunderts also von hinten auf. Der vorgezogene Blick auf die letzten gut fünf Jahrzehnte hat insofern brisante Priorität, als sich die technischen und künstlerischen Bedingungen des Mediums in diesem Zeitraum dramatisch verändert haben.
