Historie a konstrukce amerického stíhacího letounu Mustang nasazeného ve 2.světové válce a sloužícího ještě v Korejské válce. Legendární Mustang byl vyvinut ve Spojených státech v roce 1940 pro britské královské letectvo. Letouny, původně používané na hloubkové lety nad územím Německa, prošly velkými úpravami tak, aby mohly vykonávat i dálkové stíhací lety v akcích ve Středomoří a v Tichomoří. Sehrály významnou roli téměř na všech bojištích 2. světové války a byly nasazeny i v Korejské válce v letech 1950-1953. Příručka přináší milovníkům letadel vyčerpávající informace o všech typech a modifikacích, technických datech P-51, nejsou opomenuti ani konstruktéři a letci. The Avro Vulcan is probably the most famous and best loved of the three V-Bombers that constituted the Royal Air Force's nuclear strike force during the 1960s. Immediately recognizable thanks to its huge delta wing, it was at the forefront of Britain's strategic nuclear defenses for over a decade. As the nuclear deterrent was passed to the Royal Navy at the end of the 1960s, the Vulcan was redeployed onto tactical interdiction duties. During the 1982 Falklands War, the Vulcan saw the only combat service of its career. This detailed study surveys the history of the aircraft from its inception in 1947 to its final role as an inflight-refueling tanker in the mid-1980s, and beyond.

Always overshadowed by its far more famous sibling the Spitfire, the Seafire was an aircraft adapted initially in haste to fill a large gap in the Fleet Air Arm's fighter inventory.  The first Seafires were developed from the early marks of Rolls-Royce Merlin-powered Spitfire, but although the structure was strengthened to absorb some of the landing loads characteristic of carrier operation, the airframe would exhibit some alarming failures, a trait that continued through the life of the type.  The next series of Seafires were Griffon powered and followed their RAF counterparts in introducing blow canopies and, later, modified wing planforms.

Concorde is the only successful supersonic airliner that there has ever been. The product of collaboration between British and French aviation industries, Concorde first flew in 1969, and entered service in 1976. By the time of it first commercial flight the high hopes for the aircraft's adoption by airlines across the world had evaporated. In the end only its home country's flag carriers, Air France and British Airways, operated the aircraft, on scheduled services between London, New York, Paris, Washington. The crash of one of Air France's machines, and the drop-off in passenger numbers following the September 11th, 2001 terrorist attacks, signaled the end for Concorde. It was retired from service during 2003.
