Nadia vždy smerovala k dráhe ilustrátorky. Už ako dieťa čarbala do svojich cvičebníc, neskôr si čarbala poznámky k štúdiu práva. Počas novinárskej kariéry v Londýne pre hudobný magazín Smash Hits čarbala neustále na všetko možné. Jej vtedajší zamestnávatelia ju za to nevyhodili, ale naopak ju dokonca prepustili skôr, aby mohla navštevovať večerné kurzy ilustrácie. Následne získala magisterský titul na prestížnej univerzite Anglia Ruskin University. Práca kresliarky a spisovateľky je pre Nadiu splneným snom.
