Moskoviáda – román hrôzy je rozprávanie o jednom dni zo života ukrajinského literáta s čudným menom Otto von F. v Moskve. Kým jemu robia spoločnosť jeho verní priatelia havran Edgar a milenka Animé, on sám prostredníctvom svojho rozhlasového programu vysiela hudbu, poéziu a dobré príbehy do temného sveta.
Dej odohrávajúci sa počas slávnosti Vzkriesenia Ducha ponúka celú plejádu postáv kvázipatriotov a kváziliterátov. Ich ústami možno ironizovať pomýlené chápanie poézie, literatúry, statusu básnika, ale i reálií postkomunistických krajín.

En l'an 2000, l'idée vient à Andrzej Stasiuk et Yuri Andrukhovych, deux écrivains reconnus, respectivement polonais et ukrainien, de cerner leur " place " dans l'Europe élargie en train de se construire. Chacun compose alors un texte très personnel et d'essence amplement autobiographique. Imitant les cartographes d'antan, Stasiuk dessine au compas un espace aux confins de la Pologne, de l'Ukraine, de la Roumanie, de la Slovaquie et de la Hongrie, qu'il définit comme " son " Europe centrale et, au fil de considérations essentiellement géographiques, nous donne à saisir l'esprit du lieu. S'il explore les mêmes territoires, Andrukhovych, lui, emprunte d'autres itinéraires, en retraçant l'histoire de sa famille sur trois générations au gré des bouleversements tantôt tragiques, tantôt absurdes de l'histoire contemporaine. In the 1990s, Karl-Joseph Zumbrunnen, an Austrian photographer with Galician roots, travels repeatedly through Ukraine. The chaos of the transitional post-Soviet era seems infinitely more appealing than the boring life of the West-especially since falling in love with his interpreter Roma Voronych.
