Valžyna Mort, geboren 1981 in Minsk, nutzt die weißrussische Sprache als Ausdrucksform in ihren kraftvollen Balladen. Ihre Gedichte reflektieren ihre Kindheit in einem von Angst geprägten Land und ihre Reisen nach Berlin und New York. Mit lakonischem Stil und zornigem Pathos experimentiert sie mit verschiedenen Formen und erzielt surrealistische Effekte.
