Ziel des Projekts ist die Entwicklung eines Smart-Home-Systems, das auf der Netzwerktechnologie, dem Einplatinencomputer Raspberry Pi und einem Android-Telefon, Laptop usw. basiert. Das vorgeschlagene Smart-Home-System ist auf die Bildübertragung für die Hausüberwachung beschränkt. Das Bild der Kamera wird von einem Dropbox-Server gesammelt und drahtlos übertragen. Der Raspberry Pi wird die Daten über WLAN übertragen. Die Hausautomatisierung ermöglicht die automatische Steuerung von Haushaltsgeräten und die Überwachung des Hauses, um die Sicherheit vor Eindringlingen zu gewährleisten. Der Raspberry Pi wird als Hauptbestandteil des Projekts verwendet. Dadurch kann das Smartphone über eine Webbrowser-Anwendung auf den RPi zugreifen. Die Fernkommunikation mit dem Benutzer wird über einen Cloud-Speicher-Server abgewickelt. Der Cloud-Speicher (Dropbox) wurde mit der Datenbank im Raspberry Pi synchronisiert. Die Bildübertragung für die Heimüberwachung wurde erfolgreich durchgeführt. Das Projekt kann weiter ausgebaut werden, um weitere Anwendungen wie Energiekontrolle und -überwachung, Notfallalarm und Gesundheitsüberwachung einzubeziehen.
