Alongside other Thought Deviationists, Varin faces the looming threat of Collective Mind—a vast database that seemingly knows everything, including personal thoughts. They suspect the Federation is spreading a virus to keep Human Biologicals linked to Collective Mind, which would erase individual identity. Resisting this virus requires taking the addictive drug Eraserall, but it means living as a fugitive, hunted by Robot Police Agents for “treatment.” The only hope for Varin and his allies lies in infiltrating Essential Data, Collective Mind’s core processing center. The stakes are high, and success is uncertain, but the mission is critical for Varin’s future, the survival of Thought Deviationists, and the very essence of individuality.

The narrative follows Michael Rectenwald, a former Marxist professor at NYU, who becomes disillusioned with the prevailing campus culture characterized by victimhood and political correctness.
