Norman MacCaig

    MacCaig sa narodil v Edinburghu a po zvyšok života delil svoj čas medzi rodné mesto a Assynt v škótskej Vysočine. Počas druhej svetovej vojny sa registroval ako svedomitý odporca. V roku 1967 bol vymenovaný za nositeľa štipendia v oblasti kreatívneho písania na univerzite v Edinburghu. V roku 1970 sa stal lektorom poézie na univerzite v Stirlingu.
