Egs' universe is grounded in the use of the three letters in his name . Whether it's his dynamic ink drawings, the slower but even more hard-to-control media of glass or a classic grafiti painting, those three letters are the fundament of his art and the stories he tells. As one of the first clearly graffiti-rooted artists in Scandinavia, Finnish contemporary artist Egs had a major solo show in Helsinki's Kunsthalle in 2018. In the spring of 2020 he ia exhibited at the Finnish Glass Museum in Rihima. While showing works in museums and galleries internationally, EGS still keeps painting graffiti on the streets around the world. He has become an important figure in the international graffiti community. Both for the quality of his work, but also for an intellectual vibe that goes like a red thread through all of his work, strengthen their output as well as being an open, curious and generous person, doing pieces in the most diverse parts of the world with great respect for the context
Finsta is one of the most eyecatching illustrators and designers coming from the European graffiti scene. For the past ten years his work is spreading and is becoming appreciated not only in his native Sweden. Finsta's work is an universe of its own, presenting characters, settings and artifacts such as the Finstablaster, enormous ghettoblasters in wood with a painted front way cooler than any real boom-box. Some of Finsta's work resembles of that of New York artist Dan Witz, where his witty reflections in urban architecture. Finsta's graffiti styles are completely unique. His pieces often have themes that permeate the letters totally. Many of the letters are at the same time characters, building a kind of naive transformers world. Finsta's work contains paintings, comic strips, street art, graffiti styles and commercial work such as club flyers, corporate logos, magazine illustrations and posters. Finsta is a complete artist, which ideas and themes will find new admirers around the world. Finsta's works are above all full of humour and a very humanistic satire. "Being funny is like being innovative, you can't tell the same joke every time. Then it's not funny anymore" says Finsta himself.
