William Frederic Badè bol všestranne vzdelaný učenec so širokými záujmami, najznámejší ako literárny správca a biografi John Muir. Badè bol tiež archeológ, ktorý viedol vykopávky na lokalite Tell en-Nasbeh v Palestíne, ktorá je teraz na základe jeho práce považovaná za biblické mesto Micpa v Benjamíne.
