Lewis Morgan Knihy

Lewis Henry Morgan bol priekopnícky americký antropológ a sociálny teoretik, považovaný za jedného z najvýznamnejších sociálnych vedcov 19. storočia v Spojených štátoch. Je najviac známy svojou prácou o príbuzenských vzťahoch a sociálnej štruktúre, svojimi teóriami sociálnej evolúcie a etnografiou Irokézov. Vďaka svojmu štúdiu príbuzenských vzťahov bol Morgan jedným z prvých zástancov teórie, že pôvodní obyvatelia Ameriky migrovali z Ázie v staroveku. Jeho sociálne teórie ovplyvnili neskorších ľavicových teoretikov a je jediným americkým sociálnym teoretikom, na ktorého sa odvolali Charles Darwin, Karl Marx a Sigmund Freud.
