Julius Bauschinger (1860-1934) war ein deutscher Astronom. Er war ab 1896 Direktor des Astronomischen Rechen-Instituts in Berlin, danach Direktor der Sternwarte in Straßburg und später in Leipzig. Desweiteren schrieb er einen Artikel über numerische Mathematik, der in die Enzyklopädie der mathematischen Wissenschaften aufgenommen wurde. Als junger Mann war Bauschinger als Dekan an verschiedenen Fakultäten tätig. Durch seine Habilitation an der Universität München und zahlreiche Untersuchen im Bereich Astronomie entwickelte Bauschinger seine ''Tafeln zur theoretischen Astronomie'', ein bedeutsames Werk.
