Weiter geht es mit dem Ausflug in Deshwitats Kalutikas Vergangenheit: Während Desh weitermordend durch die Gegend zieht, macht Kala sich einen Namen als Truppenführer der Garde. Eines Tages begegnet er dem ungestümen Rett Burttler, der sich mit etwas Widerwillen davon üerzeugen läßt, fortan an seiner Seite zu kämpfen.
