Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury is now available on Nintendo Switch, featuring a port of a beloved Wii U title and an intriguing open-world 3D platforming adventure set in Lake Lapcat. Your main antagonist is Fury Bowser, who periodically wreaks havoc. The game offers 100 Cat Shines to collect, with each island containing five. After clearing an island, revisit it later for new objectives and hints. Exploring other islands becomes essential as they unlock following Fury Bowser's defeat. When you collect a Cat Shine, a power-up appears on a tower. Climb to the top and ground-pound the shiny spot to acquire a power-up, with a maximum of five stored for each type. However, this stops after obtaining five Cat Shines on an island. Fury Bowser's appearances increase as you collect more Shines, but gathering a Shine will temporarily send him away and reduce his health for the next encounter. Certain boxes can only be opened by Fury Bowser's flame breath, potentially revealing Shines. Collecting enough Cat Shines unlocks Giga Cat Bells, allowing you to transform into Giga Cat Mario to confront Fury Bowser. Be cautious, as taking damage will revert you to regular Mario. You won't be able to gather all Cat Shines before the final battle, but after defeating Fury Bowser, return to Lake Lapcat and consult Bowser Jr. for information on the remaining Shines.
