Neřekneme vám kdo jsme. Ani kde bydlíme. Bylo by to příliš riskantní a my musíme být opatrní. Skutečně opatrní. Takže nikomu nevěříme. Protože kdyby nás našli…, ale my nedovolíme aby nás našli. Jediné, co byste měli vědět je, že všichni jste opravdu ve velkém nebezpečí. Jo. I ty.

Luftwaffe over America

The plans that Nazi Germany had to raid & bomb NYC & the eastern seabord are revealed in this book. They depended upon the use of transoceanic aircraft, such as the 6-engined Ju 390, Me 264 or Ta 400, but the 3rd Reich was unable to produce these machines in sufficient numbers. If the USSR had been conquered, however, these plans would have become a reality. With the seizure of vital resources from the USSR the Wehrmacht would have had enough fuel & material to mass-produce giant bomber aircraft: it was a near-run thing. The collapse of the Wehrmacht infrastructure & the premature end of the 1000-Year Reich ensured that plans for long-range remote-controlled missiles never got past the drawing board. Manfred Griehl makes it clear that until the collapse numerous secret research laboratories seem to have worked in parallel developing nuclear power & explosives. Only classified material held within British, French & American archives can prove whether these laboratories were close to perfecting small atomic explosives. But, beyond a shadow of a doubt, Germany was far more technologically advanced by the end of 1944 than previously suspected.
Many details of this crucial phase of the war remained hidden for many years in top-secret files, but in this fascinating new history Manfred Griehl makes use of recently declassified sources, alongside his own vast collection of photographs, to provide a fresh look at the story of the Luftwaffe. Among the many aspects he covers are the new models of Bf 109 and Fw 190; the Me 262 jet plane; the establishment of He 162 squadrons; Stukas and Fw 190 fighter-bomber operations on the Eastern Front; Me 262 Blitzbombers in the West, the recruitment of 1928-born Hitler Youth into the two hundred glider schools; the increasing importance of remote-controlled air-to-air rockets; and the development of heavy bombs, remote-controlled bombs, ‘atom bombs’ and Germany's chemical and bacteriological arsenal.
The Luftwaffe Album provides impressive photographic coverage of over 35 fighter aircraft and more than 50 bombers. They are illustrated by over 600 photographs taken from rare archives. For the historian, enthusiast or modeller, this unprecedented pictorial guide to German aviation in World War Two is outstanding value. The illustrations are selected in order to show the full aircraft, in each important variant but then in close detail also. This enables features of weaponry, cockpit, markings, engines and other design elements to be shown, including machines during construction, in prototype and in action.
A Fascinating collection of photos of experimental and prototype planes of the Luftwaffe, this title reveals plans for jet planes and high altitude aircraft, and radar-equipped fighters configured to deliver chemical weapons. It is a revelatory insight into the aviation science of the Third Reich.
This exciting on-going series covers every aspect of the Luftwaffe in World War II and charts the rise and fall of this mighty force. Each volume makes use of over a hundred rare and valuable photographs, many of them taken by Luftwaffe personnel, to bring history to life and record both the men and the aircraft they flew.
