Uplynulo vyše sedemdesiat rokov od doby, keď vyšli dve zbierky poézie pod pseudonymom Ria Valé. Kto mohol vedieť, že autorkou píšucou pod pseudonymom Ria Valé nebol Rudolf Dilong, ale žena, mladá a zaľúbená, no pre svoj židovský pôvod skrytá za Dilonga? Navyše, táto žena, Valéria Reiszová, nebola iba Dilongovou žiačkou básnického umenia, ale aj jeho partnerkou, ktorá mu v roku 1942 porodila dcéru. Neľudský zákon slovenskej vojnovej republiky z roku 1941, nazývaný Židovský kódex, však zakazoval nielen partnerské zväzky medzi Židmi a Nežidmi, ale aj akúkoľvek umeleckú činnosť Židov. Po dlhých rokoch je preto namieste vrátiť Riu Valé, autorku, ktorá sa pre svoj rasový pôvod nemohla hlásiť k svojim dielam, do literatúry. Sprievodnú štúdiu autorsky pripravuje literárna vedkyňa Mgr. This collection explores the architecture of focus in linguistic theory from various theoretical perspectives. Over the last four decades, research has revealed the complexity of focus, with diverse theoretical approaches and sensitive data. Traditionally, focus has been integrated into generative grammar, but recent shifts have transformed how linguists view focus and information structure. The focus of research has moved from situating focus within grammar to examining the architecture of focus itself. This collection aims to document this shift, identifying key areas of inquiry in both theoretical and empirical domains. The book is organized into four main sections following the introduction: the first discusses theoretical foundations of focus within grammar; the second features papers on the representation of focus and topic at the syntax-pragmatics interface; the third addresses the phonological representation of focus and its relationship to meaning; and the final section investigates various types of focus constructions across languages. Together, these contributions reflect the development of the focus research field, emphasizing its interpretation and representation.

The architecture of the human language faculty has been one of the main foci of the linguistic research of the last half century. This branch of linguistics, broadly known as Generative Grammar, is concerned with the formulation of explanatory formal accounts of linguistic phenomena with the ulterior goal of gaining insight into the properties of the 'language organ'. The series comprises high quality monographs and collected volumes that address such issues. Subjektivität spielt eine zentrale Rolle in lyrischen Texten. Im Kontext dieses Sammelbandes – der Interpretationen von deutsch-, polnisch-, russisch-, tschechisch- und ungarischsprachigen Werken – werden verschiedene Facetten der Subjektivität sichtbar. Die Differenzierung zeigt sich nicht nur in den analysierten Primärtexten, sondern auch in den zugrunde liegenden methodologischen Prämissen. Unterschiedliche Ausdrucksformen von Subjektivität werden vor dem literaturgeschichtlichen Hintergrund diskutiert und in Beziehung zu Epochenkonzeptionen gesetzt. Zudem werden literaturwissenschaftliche Ansätze sowie das Zusammenspiel von Methode und angewandtem Subjektkonzept thematisiert. Durch die Vorstellung bisher vernachlässigter Primärtexte und eingehende theoretisch-methodische Reflexionen wird nachvollziehbar, welche Konturen von Subjektivität in den Literaturen und Literaturwissenschaften Ostmitteleuropas gegenwärtig erkennbar sind.
