Aussi, quand les eleves d'Easton apprennent qu'ils ne sont pas sur la liste des invites a la fete de l'Heritage (la fete la plus courue de la cote Est), c'est evidemment vers Reed la toute puissante qu'ils se tournent... Elle se revele d'une force de caractere peu commune, mais sait mieux que personne que les leaders de Billings ont un passe douteux: Ariana est enfermee dans une institution psychiatrique, Noelle a ete renvoyee et Cheyenne vient de mourir. L'histoire a tendance a se repeter a Easton, et si Reed a tout ce qu'elle a desire, elle a aussi beaucoup a perdre...
