Postcolonial Literatures in English have emerged as a vital area of global research. This series of introductory readers encompasses South Asian, Australian, New Zealand and Pacific, African, Canadian, Black and South Asian British, and Caribbean Literatures. The edited collections aim to assist students and educators in exploring the diverse cultural networks stemming from the British Empire and Commonwealth. Each volume features an introduction outlining key trends and developments in the region, along with further reading recommendations. The specificities of each region are examined through the lenses of history, identity, language, education, movements, and genres, as well as transcultural perspectives. A significant legacy of the British Empire is the presence of black and South Asian individuals in Britain, who have contributed to the multicultural society we recognize today.
