Der „Triumphus humanae stultitiae vel Tylus Saxo“ (1558) des Humanisten Ioannes Nemius ist die erste lateinische Fassung der Eulenspiegelschwänke und präsentiert diese in gebundener Sprache und geschlossenem Zusammenhang. Diese moderne Ausgabe enthält Kommentar, Übersetzung und begleitende Studien. Der „Triumphus“ spielt eine entscheidende Rolle in der Eulenspiegelrezeption sowie in der Entwicklung frühmoderner Volksliteratur.
