This open access book focuses on Switzerland-based medium-sized companies with a longstanding export tradition and a proven dominance in global niche markets. Based upon in-depth documentation and analysis of 36 Swiss companies over their entire history, an expert team of authors presents several parallels in the pathways and success factors which allowed these firms to become dominant and operate from a high-cost location such as Switzerland. Die Diplomarbeit untersucht die Lebensbedingungen von geistig behinderten Menschen in stationären Wohneinrichtungen und deren Möglichkeiten zur aktiven Mitgestaltung ihres Heimalltags. Ein zentrales Thema ist die Rolle von Heimbeiräten, die als Plattform für ehrenamtliche Mitwirkung dienen. Die Arbeit beleuchtet die rechtlichen Rahmenbedingungen und die tatsächliche Mitwirkungspraxis, wobei Spannungsfelder zwischen gesetzlichen Vorgaben und der Realität aufgezeigt werden. Die Autorin verfolgt einen potentialorientierten Ansatz, um die Heterogenität innerhalb dieser Zielgruppe zu verdeutlichen.

Die Studienarbeit analysiert die Anforderungen an die Friedensforschung und -pädagogik im Kontext der neuen Weltordnung und beleuchtet die Wechselwirkungen zwischen Wissenschaft und Krieg. Sie stammt aus einem Seminar an der Carl von Ossietzky Universität Oldenburg und bietet einen fundierten Einblick in die pädagogischen Herausforderungen und die theoretischen Grundlagen, die für die Entwicklung einer effektiven Friedensbildung notwendig sind.
